All 3 tours run on the Mrežnica River near Plitvice Lakes National Park, so the terrain is the same. The gap between 30 € and 70 € reflects format and intensity, not destination. Go Explore Croatia offers the longest time on the water (4h) at the lowest price, making it the default choice for groups wanting maximum river time. Discover Mrežnica splits the difference at 50 € for a tighter 3h session, ideal if your schedule is tight. Raftrek Travel tops out at 70 € with packrafting, a solo-craft format that demands more active paddling than a shared canoraft and is listed as "Occasionally sporty". If you want to float and enjoy the canyon scenery, go with the 30 € or 50 € option. If you want to work for it, book Raftrek Travel.
Canorafting down the Mrežnica near the Plitvice lakes
4h on the Mrežnica for 30 €, open to all levels, with English and Croatian guides included.
Packrafting on the Mreznica River near Plitvice Lakes
Packrafting in a solo craft at 70 € is the only tour rated 'Occasionally sporty', putting you in direct control of every rapid.
Hitting the river's natural drops and small rapids in a packraft, where you're steering a solo inflatable with no one to share the paddling. The canoraft tours smooth out the experience since the guide controls the craft.
Two of the three tours are listed as 'Everybody welcome', so zero experience required. The packrafting tour with Raftrek Travel is rated 'Occasionally sporty', meaning basic fitness helps but prior rafting skills are not required.
The Go Explore Croatia canorafting tour runs 4h, a full hour longer than the two 3h options. At 30 €, it's also the cheapest.
Canorafting uses a larger shared inflatable guided by an operator, so you ride the river as a group. Packrafting puts you in a lightweight solo inflatable, which means more control and more physical effort on every bend and drop.
Season runs from May through September. Late spring (May to June) brings higher water levels from snowmelt, which means faster currents on the Mrežnica. July and August are warmer but more crowded.
