Via ferrata routes use iron rungs, cables and ladders bolted into the rock face, so you're climbing vertical sections rather than walking. The exposure to height is real and immediate, but the fixed equipment means you stay clipped in throughout. This tour is rated suitable for everybody, so no prior climbing experience is required.

The sharpest adrenaline spike typically comes on the steepest vertical passages where the rock drops away beneath you and your next handhold is a metal rung above your head. The Triglav area around Mojstrana offers limestone terrain with genuine exposure, so expect at least one section where the void below you becomes very obvious.

A degree of height awareness is normal and part of what makes via ferrata compelling. The harness and safety lanyard keep you attached to the cable at all times, so the risk of falling is controlled. Many first-timers find that focusing on the next rung overrides the fear. If heights genuinely cause panic, discuss it with your guide from Kofler Sport before you start.

The season runs from May through October. July and August offer the most stable dry conditions on the rock, while May, June and September give cooler temperatures and fewer people on the route. Wet rock significantly increases difficulty, so check the forecast for the Triglav massif before your session.
