Both tours run 5h with Hi North and depart from the same meeting point in Mosjøen, targeting the iron-route routes up Øyfjellet. The base excursion at 76.22 € covers the via ferrata ascent itself, clipped into the mountain's steel cables across exposed ridgelines above the Vefsna valley. The summit-plus-zipline option at 84.73 € adds a zipline descent from the top, which means you get a second adrenaline hit on the way back down for an extra 8.51 €. Both are rated "Occasionally sporty", so neither demands elite fitness. Pick the base tour if you want to focus on the climb. Add the zipline if you want the full ride.
Via Ferrata Excursion to Øyfjellet from Mosjøen
At 76.22 €, the base Øyfjellet excursion delivers a full 5h via ferrata experience rated "Occasionally sporty", ideal for first-timers who want the climb without extras.
Via Ferrata to the Summit of Øyfjellet and Zipline from Mosjøen
The summit-plus-zipline tour at 84.73 € adds a zipline descent on top of the same 5h ascent, giving you two distinct adrenaline moments for 8.51 € more.
Both tours are rated "Occasionally sporty", meaning you need a reasonable baseline fitness but no climbing experience. Expect sustained uphill effort over 5h with exposure to height on the iron-route sections.
The most exposed sections are the clipped traverses and vertical ladder segments on the mountain face, where the drop below you is at its greatest. On the zipline tour, the descent from the summit adds a second rush after the climb.
A mild discomfort with exposure is normal and actually part of the experience. The via ferrata system keeps you clipped in at all times, but the vertical drops are very real. Anyone with severe acrophobia should reconsider.
For 8.51 € more, you add a zipline descent from the summit of Øyfjellet to the base tour. If speed and a different kind of exposure appeal to you after the climb, it's a straightforward upgrade.
Both tours are led in Norwegian and English, so non-Norwegian speakers are fully covered.

Getting there
Meet Hi North directly at Ytterøra 23, 8656 Mosjøen, Norway, which sits in the center of Mosjøen and is reachable by car or on foot from the town's train station.
