Both tours run with Galloway Canyoning on the River Nith and last exactly 2.5h, so the decision comes down to intensity and meeting point. Tour 0 (64 £) starts at Enterkinfoot near Thornhill and is rated "Occasionally sporty", making it the right pick if you want a first taste of white water tubing without committing to sustained effort. Tour 1 (70 £) launches from Drumlanrig Castle and steps up to a "Sporty" physical level, meaning more demanding rapids and a harder push throughout. The 6 £ gap directly reflects that intensity jump. Go with Tour 0 for an accessible intro to the Nith. Choose Tour 1 if you want the fuller rush.

White water Tubing down The River Nith, near Galloway
Tour 1 at 70 £ steps up to a "Sporty" level and meets at Drumlanrig Castle, covering the more demanding sections of the River Nith for 2.5h of sustained white water action.
Hitting a rapid while lying flat in your tube with the current accelerating around you. The River Nith channels water into narrow sections where speed picks up sharply. Tour 1, rated Sporty, puts you through more of those sections than Tour 0.
You'll be wearing a wetsuit and buoyancy aid throughout, so the water depth isn't the factor to focus on. The sensation comes from the current speed and the way rapids spin and push you, not from being submerged.
In tubing, you ride a single inflatable ring rather than a shared raft. You're lower to the water, more exposed to the current and more likely to flip, which makes the physical feedback much more direct and immediate.
Yes. The 2.5h session includes kit-up, safety briefing and the active river section. The time on the water is concentrated, not padded out with long walks between rapids.
Book Tour 1 at 70 £ per person. The Sporty physical level means the group will be working harder, covering more challenging sections of the River Nith, and the Drumlanrig Castle meeting point is easy to coordinate for multiple cars.
