One operator, one itinerary: A&A Adventurous Spirit runs a half-day canyoning initiation through the 7 Waterfalls of Tamarin at 68.05 €, rated 5/5 across 107 reviews. Physical level is open to everyone, so no prior experience needed. Book this one if you want a guided first contact with abseiling and waterfall descents in the Black River Gorges without the guesswork. Reserve your spot early during the May-to-September season.
The itinerary is rated 'Everybody welcome', meaning the descents and abseils are accessible to first-timers. You still rappel down active waterfalls in a natural gorge, so expect full-body immersion and real exposure to height and rushing water.
The highlight is abseiling directly through the curtain of one of the 7 waterfalls, with the force of the water hitting you on the descent. That's the moment most participants remember.
Basic water comfort is strongly recommended since the route involves wading through pools and descending waterfalls. Check directly with A&A Adventurous Spirit at booking if you have any concerns about swimming ability.
The season runs from May to September. Earlier in the season, water levels in the Black River Gorges tend to be higher, which means more powerful falls and a more intense experience overall.
