Both tours run on the Deva River in the Picos de Europa, but they're not the same ride. Aqua21 Aventura (45 €, 2h to half-day, open to everybody) is the entry point: no experience required, flexible duration, and guides speak Spanish, French and English. Canoe Aventura Trophy (55 €, 2.5h, occasionally sporty) adds the Cares River to the mix and bumps up the physical demand, covering two rivers from Panes instead of one. The 10 € gap reflects that extra stretch of whitewater and the added intensity. Pick Aqua21 for a first-timer group or mixed ability crowd. Go with Canoe Aventura Trophy if you want more river, more effort and a genuine physical challenge.
Rafting excursion at Deva River from Unquera, Picos de Europa
Open to all levels, guided in three languages and priced at 45 €, the Aqua21 Aventura tour on the Deva River is the lowest-barrier way to hit the Picos de Europa rapids for the first time.
Cano-Rafting at the Picos de Europa on the Deva and Cares Rivers from Panes
At 55 €, the Canoe Aventura Trophy tour covers both the Deva and Cares rivers in 2.5h, delivering more continuous whitewater for a group that wants a real physical push.
On both the Deva and Cares rivers, the rapids hit hardest through the narrow gorge sections carved into the limestone of the Picos de Europa. The Cares route on the Canoe Aventura Trophy tour adds a second river, which means more continuous whitewater and fewer flat breaks.
No experience needed for the Aqua21 Aventura tour, which is open to everybody. The Canoe Aventura Trophy tour is rated occasionally sporty, so a basic level of fitness helps, but no prior rafting skills are required.
The Canoe Aventura Trophy tour runs both the Deva and Cares rivers, making it the longer and more varied route. The Aqua21 Aventura tour focuses on the Deva River from Unquera.
Season runs from May through September. Spring snowmelt from the Picos peaks feeds the rivers hardest in May and June, when water levels and current speed are typically at their peak.
Aqua21 Aventura guides speak Spanish, French and English. Canoe Aventura Trophy guides operate in Spanish and English.

Equipment
Wear a swimsuit under your wetsuit and bring water shoes or secure-fitting sandals that won't come off in fast current. Both tours provide helmets and life jackets, and the Canoe Aventura Trophy's 2.5h duration at an occasionally sporty level means a rashguard or thermal layer underneath is worth packing for cooler mornings.
