Both tours run with Millau Activites Nature and cover the cave systems of the Grands Causses, a limestone plateau riddled with underground galleries carved by millennia of water erosion. The 42 € intro option runs 2.5h at an "Occasionally sporty" level, making it the right call if your group includes first-timers or anyone unsure about tight passages. The 64 € sport session doubles down: 4h underground, rated "Sporty", designed for people who want sustained physical effort and deeper exploration of the karst network. The 22 € gap is justified by the extra 1.5h of cave time and a step up in intensity. Pick the 64 € session if your group is physically active and wants a full underground commitment. Stick with 42 € for a controlled first contact with the underground.

42 €, 2.5h and an Occasionally sporty level make it the lowest-pressure entry point into the caves of the Tarn gorges.
Sport caving in the Grands Causses near Millau
At 64 € for 4h at Sporty level, this session gives you the most time in the Grands Causses cave network for the most physical payoff.
The tightest squeezes through narrow rock passages are consistently the biggest adrenaline spike for first-timers. The sport session (4h, Sporty level) includes more of these technical sections than the introductory tour.
No prior experience is needed for the 2.5h introductory tour, rated Occasionally sporty. The 4h sport session is rated Sporty and better suited to people who are physically active and comfortable in confined spaces.
Caving near Millau focuses on horizontal and slightly inclined passages through the limestone karst of the Grands Causses. The main psychological challenge is claustrophobia, not exposure to heights.
Both tours are available in English and French, so international participants are fully covered.
Exact depths are not publicly disclosed by the operator. The 4h sport session explores a longer and more demanding section of the cave network than the 2.5h introductory tour, based on the duration and physical level difference.
