Three tandem flights launch from Monte Pizzocolo or Gardone Riviera, with prices ranging from 120 € to 150 €. Garda Flying Paradise at 120 € covers 1h in the air and suits anyone looking for a first taste of paragliding over Lake Garda. Volare sul Garda at 140 € adds 15 extra minutes, accepts all physical levels and briefs in 5 languages including German and French, making it the go-to for international groups or nervous first-timers. Brixia Flying at 150 € delivers the longest experience at 2h, with more time riding thermals above the lake's western shore. Pick by duration: 1h is plenty for a discovery flight, 2h is the move if you want full immersion above the Brescian Riviera.
Tandem Paragliding Flight over Lake Garda from Gardone Riviera
At 120 €, Garda Flying Paradise delivers a full 1h tandem flight over Lake Garda, the lowest entry point across all 3 options.
Tandem Paragliding Flight over Lake Garda from Monte Pizzocolo
Brixia Flying runs for 2h at 150 €, twice the duration of the base option, for the deepest immersion above Monte Pizzocolo and the western shore.
The launch from Monte Pizzocolo. You run a few steps off the slope and within seconds there's nothing under your feet except several hundred meters of air and the blue expanse of Lake Garda below. That first second of free glide is the peak adrenaline hit before the flight smooths out.
Fear of heights on the ground rarely translates to paragliding. Once airborne, there's no edge to look down from, just open sky and the lake spread out beneath you. All 3 operators run tandem flights, meaning a certified pilot handles all controls.
The Brixia Flying option at 150 € runs for 2h, doubling the airtime of the 120 € Garda Flying Paradise flight. That extra time means more opportunity to catch thermals and cover more of the lake's 52 km length.
The Volare sul Garda flight is listed as 'Everybody welcome', so no specific fitness is required. The other two operators list their flights as 'Occasionally sporty', meaning you should be able to walk on uneven terrain and handle a short running launch.
The season runs from May through September. Thermal conditions are strongest in June, July and August, which deliver longer, more dynamic flights. May and September offer calmer air and clearer visibility, better for photography.

Equipment
All flights are tandem and require no personal gear beyond what you wear. Opt for closed, lace-up shoes with ankle support for the launch run, and layer up since temperatures drop noticeably at altitude even in summer. The 2h Brixia Flying option warrants an extra layer given the extended exposure.
Getting there
All three operators meet at or directly behind the Hotel Colomber at Via Val di Sur, Gardone Riviera, on the western shore of Lake Garda, reachable by car via the SS45bis lakeside road or by ferry from Salò or Limone sul Garda.
