Wear closed-toe shoes and dress in layers since temperatures drop at altitude above Ebenalp, even in summer. The flight is 1.5h total, so a light windproof jacket and sunglasses are worth packing.

Meet at Talstation Ebenalp Bahn, Schwendetalstrasse 82, 9057 Wasserauen, Switzerland, reached by regional train to Appenzell then a short bus or drive south into the valley.
